PULAK HALDER is an amateur photographer for more than two decades. His work is driven by his passionate advocacy for preservation of the natural world. His pictures have been published in several magazines, including “View Finder”, a monthly journal of the Federation of Indian Photography. Many of his photographs have been exhibited in national and international salons.

Some of his solo and group exhibitions are:

1) “Cox’s Bazaar – The Beach and the Beauty of Bangladesh” at the State Art Gallery, Hyderabad in 2009.

2) “Nature’s painting” a macro photography on barks of trees, which depicts the different forms of life at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Gallery in 2011.

3) “Trace the Heritage” - An Exhibition of Photography to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Hyderabad at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations(ICCR) Gallery in 2012.

4) A month-long photo exhibition organized by AP Tourism at State Art Gallery, Hyderabad during “COP 11- Convention of Bio-Diversity” in 2012.

5) “Photo Exhibition-2013” organized by Shilparamam, Hyderabad in 2013.

6) “Connections” – an Exhibition of Photography, organized by the State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad in April 2014 and the Rainbow Art Gallery, Hyderabad in May 2014.

7) “Nature’s painting” in Visual Arts section at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival (KGAF-16), Mumbai in February 6-14, 2016.

8) “Faith in the city we inhabit”—An Art Exhibition at Sufi School of Teaching, London, August, 2020.

Some of his work on macro images on barks of trees (Nature’s Painting) are permanently displayed at “Prakriti Bhavan”, India's one and only Nature Art Museum in Santiniketan, West Bengal, INDIA.
